Dal Locke's report:

Halloween day ride

Tom and I headed out today to the Plano Chisolm trail at 15th and 75.  Doug and the
others had to work today so they are going on Sunday.  We started on the trail and
headed north.  It was a very nice day after all the rain we have been having lately.
The trail follows a creek and was rather scenic with all the ducks and turtles out.  Tom
stopped and picked up 5 horse apples and started juggling them all.  I took a picture
and now I want to see how they came out.  The trees are changing colors this time of
year.  One tree looked like it was on fire so we took some pictures of it.

We stopped and ate at the Taco Delight.  It was really not that delightful food but it
worked.  From there we headed south looking for some refreshments.  Funny how
you can pass a bar and not even see it the first time.  Luckily eagle eye Tom saw it
on the return to the trail.  So we stopped in for a couple while the batteries charged
outside.  The name is "Varsity Club" and it is located at Coit and Spring Creek
parkway.  Not a bad place and it had several big screens for the games.

On the way back we stopped to oil Tom's squeaking spokes and I started swinging
on a swingset.  Tom took a picture of me jumping out of the swing.  That should be a
good picture too because he got me in mid air.  My side hurts a little now but I will be
alright.  I think I pulled a muscle under the old left rib.  Something good or bad always
happens on these rides.
