Doug Canfields's report:

We had a new member join the group with an older "GR8" geared hub
motor folding bike, circa 2004. Big guy, small bike with 20" wheels.
We cleaned up his bike and did a functional test at the original 24V
last week for him, then installed a 25A 36V controller and a very cool
36V LiFePO4 pack in the slot behind the seat post. Forgot to mention,
the bike is full suspension.
He rides it daily 20+ miles (no car) and we rode about that on Sunday.
When we got back he was only down two of five on the SOC on the
battery. We all had a good laugh when he dusted a pack of roadies
which are a common sight in the area.
Wish we would have thought to have a working camera.
Bikes drew a crowd when we stopped to talk with the FREE ADVICE guys.
They have been setting up at the park for 14 years and it is fun to
chat with them and all the others that wanted to look at and test
ride  the bikes. We even got a few new members it seems.
This is a great way to get people to see and understand electric
bikes.
Looking forward to the next ride.
